Mending broken pipes with glue or other adhesives
If a pipe is broken, it needs to be replaced. Fixing it up with glue, putty or tape may seem like it will resolve the problem but it will only be a matter of time before the water pressure builds up and busts. Fixing the pipe now will save you a lot of money later.
Pipes replaced with galvanized steel
Pipes in older homes tend to be made from materials that contain toxic chemicals. Galvanized steel is one of them. If your pipes were replaced with galvanized steel or your plumber didn’t warn you about the dangers of this material, he/she didn’t do their job. Other materials to watch out for.

Incorrect valve replacement
